Dan Davis, Mayor of Manvel, Texas
Mayor Dan Davis has served as Mayor of the City of Manvel since 2023 and is passionate about building communities where every individual has the opportunity to thrive. He has been married to his wife, Erica, for more than 14 years, and together they are raising their two children, Caellum (12) and Kira (10).
Dan’s passion for supporting diverse learners is deeply personal. As parents, he and Erica have experienced firsthand the journey of advocating for a child with learning differences, discovering that every challenge often reveals unique strengths and God-given gifts. That experience has strengthened his belief that our differences should be embraced rather than hidden and that every person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Whether serving in public office, leading in his professional career, or investing in his family, Dan is committed to encouraging others, building stronger communities, and helping people recognize the value and purpose within themselves and those around them.
Dr. Monique Baucham, Provost, Academic Affairs Brazosport College
Dr. Baucham brings 19 years of higher education experience to the role, having served in leadership positions in academics, institutional effectiveness, student services and distance learning at colleges and universities across the southeastern United States. She has served as Brazosport College’s Vice President of Academic Affairs and Institutional Effectiveness since April 2024.
“Education has the power to transform lives and it’s a privilege to be part of that process,” Baucham said. “I look forward to working with our faculty and staff to create innovative learning opportunities that empower our students to achieve their goals. By working together, we can ensure Brazosport College continues to thrive as an institution of academic excellence and opportunity.”
As Provost, Baucham will oversee all student-facing programs, services and educational activities at the college.
“Dr. Baucham’s appointment to Provost will bring all student-centered units under a single umbrella for improved coordination and positive impact for our students,” said Brazosport College President Dr. Vincent Solis. “This will maximize our effectiveness, foster stronger collaboration across departments and ensure Brazosport College remains responsive to the ever-evolving higher-education environment.”
Baucham is a commissioner for the Association of Biblical Higher Education and an accreditation evaluator for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), where her evaluation work primarily centers on institutional effectiveness, administration and finance. She has also served as treasurer for the Texas Association of Higher Education Assessment.
Baucham holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Theological Studies and a Doctor of Education with a focus on curriculum and instruction.
Known for her collaborative leadership style, Baucham is passionate about fostering cross-campus partnerships to ensure the high standards of integrity and accountability for both internal and community stakeholders.
